Dr Paul McPartland – BA, B Dent Sc, MFD, MSc (Endo) – Endodontist

Paul graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Science in 2012 from Trinity College, Dublin and obtained his membership exam with the faculty of dentistry with the Royal College of Surgeons, Ireland in 2015.

Paul worked full time in private dental practice before completing a three-year postgraduate master’s course in Endodontics in the UK.  Paul is a member of the Irish Endodontic Society.

Paul has been working in referral practice for many years and prides himself on making his patients feel relaxed, comfortable and fully informed throughout all stages of endodontic treatment.

Dr Paula Taracido – Orthodontist

Dr Paula graduated with a bachelor degree in dental science, in the University of Santiago de Compostela in 2013. That same year she moved to Ireland where she worked full time in private dental practice before completing a three-year postgraduate master’s course in Orthodontics  in Seville, Spain.

She is also an Invisalign comprehensive provider since 2020, having completed a year of postgraduate training on aligners only by the Aligner Pro Academy.

Paula is empathetic and believes that open communication is key in making the patients feel involved and comfortable in such a life changing process.

We were delighted to welcome Paula to the Portobello Dental team in 2021.

Dr Maeve Cooney – Special interest in Oral surgery

Dr Cooney qualified with first class honours in her Bachelor of Dental Science from Trinity College Dublin in 2016 and obtained her membership exam in faculty of dentistry with the Royal College of Surgeons, Ireland in 2017.

She worked in a variety of fields post-graduation to gain oral and maxillofacial surgery experience including dental and general hospitals in both Ireland and the UK. She then moved to Canada where she worked in private practice and the Canadian Arctic.

She returned to Ireland to start her oral surgery training in Dublin Dental Hospital in September 2021 and obtained her fellowship exam in Oral Surgery and Oral Medicine from the Royal College of Surgeons in April 2023. Maeve enjoys all aspects of oral surgery & medicine and always strives to provide a thorough consultation and a comfortable experience throughout any oral surgery procedures.

Dr Daithi McGrory BA, B.Dent.Sc – Nitrous Oxide Sedation

Dr McGrory’s biography will be coming shortly and we are delighted to have him as part of the Portobello Dental Team.

Dr McGrory offers dental treatment under inhalation sedation to paediatric patients in Portobello Dental Clinic.  The positive dental experience provided by this service for apprehensive children represents a significant stepping-stone in the establishment of lifelong oral health.
