Stephen is an Honours graduate from Trinity College Dublin and also holds qualifications with the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. Stephen is also currently pursuing field
leading techniques with Mimétika – dentistry inspired by nature, designed to emulate and restore healthy smiles. Combining digital workflows and clinical photography to help patients understand and feel confident about their smile.
Stephen joined the Portobello Dental Team in February 2023 and a vast array of minimally invasive approaches are a corner stone of Stephen’s clinic practice. Pain free treatment is also a hallmark of his clinical practice. Stephen was recently nominated for the Colgate Caring Dentist award in 2023, highlighting his empathetic and rounded approach to patient care.
In 2019 Stephen travelled to the Amazon rainforest in Peru to provide emergency dental treatment to villagers with no access to healthcare in a joint project with NHS Scotland and the Peruvian Government.
Before becoming a Dentist, Stephen was a music teacher and will have music to help feel comfortable and at ease.
