Invisalign clear braces, the world’s most advanced clear aligner system, offer a much easier and less noticeable way of adjusting your smile. These braces are made from a clear moulded plastic specially designed to gently move your teeth into a better position while being almost unnoticeable while worn. They can even be attached and removed whenever needed, and are easy to clean by simply running under the tap and brushing.

At Portobello Dental Clinic we provide both Invisalign Go and Invisalign comprehensive.

Invisalign® Go involves a short (less than 20 weeks) series of clear aligners that are individually manufactured and changed at regular intervals to aid the gradual movement of a patients teeth. Invisalign Go is suitable for most adult patients with mild to moderate crowding, but not for larger movements.

For more complex orthodontic cases that require larger movements, Invisalign comprehensive with our Orthodontist may be the more suited option. Depending on each patient’s case and requirements, Invisalign Comprehensive can be used to treat an array of conditions, including overcrowding, underbite, overbite, crossbite and overjet (protruding teeth).

Rest assured we also provide conventional tooth coloured braces, if Invisalign is not the recommended treatment path for your dental needs.

Invisalign braces take about the same time as regular braces to work, depending on a patients specific circumstances. Multiple visits are required to the dentist or our orthodontist, as you’ll need a number of different Invisalign aligners as the treatment progresses. This process can take anywhere from 6 months to a year+ depending on a patients needs and type of Invisalign aligners they require.

This state-of-the-art technology allows our well trained clinician’s to take accurate, high resolution 3D digital images of your mouth. By taking these scans we eliminate the need for impressions as well as expediting the process of starting your Invisalign treatment.

The iTero scanner is all about patient comfort and digitally captures the structure of the teeth and gums using the latest optical technology. By doing this, it delivers a digital impression that is much more accurate than a routine dental impression.

One of the most remarkable features of Invisalign clear braces is that they’re practically impossible to spot when being worn. The clear plastic is as almost invisible unless pointed out and viewed extremely close-up. In fact, many of our patients have said how difficult they are to spot when worn!

It depends entirely on your circumstances. While Invisalign clear braces are capable of fixing many misaligned teeth, depending on your personal circumstance an alternative type of brace might be more effective for you. We’ll discuss this when you visit us for your initial comprehensive assessment.
