Katie – Assistant Practice Manager

Before joining the Portobello Dental Team in 2022 as a Clinic Coordinator, Katie had a background in the beauty industry.

Katie’s previous role as a beauty therapist has allowed her to refine her customer service and communication skills, which seamlessly transitioned to her position at Portobello Dental. Her goal is to ensure that each patient departs our clinic with a sense of comfort and ease.

Katie was promoted to Assistant Practice Manager of the clinic, in September 2024 and looks forward to supporting our Practice Manager, Deirdre, in delivering the highest quality of patient care to our patients.

In her spare time Katie enjoys travelling to new places and engaging in various crafting activities.

Mariane

Originally from Brazil, Mariane moved to Ireland in 2016, after graduating from dentistry. She continued her studies in Trinity College Dublin, gaining a diploma in dental nursing. Mariane joined the Portobello Dental Team in 2020, as one of our clinic coordinators.

She is passionate about dentistry and patient care, always enjoying being able to help patients with questions they may have about their treatment plans and upcoming appointments.

Mariane is a keen traveller and loves when she gets to return to her native Brazil. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with Bolimho, her gorgeous cat!

Clodagh

Clodagh began working in the field of dentistry in 2019 and joined the Portobello Dental Team in July 2021 as a Clinic Coordinator.  She has always enjoyed working with people, and strives to continuously deliver excellent customer service, ensuring that every patient leaves our clinic comfortable and happy.

Clodagh also has qualifications in makeup artistry and legal studies.

Her interests include, walks on the beach, socialising with her friends and she loves travelling to new places when she can.

Sofia

Originally from Uruguay, Sofia joined the Portobello Dental Clinic in 2023 and quickly became a valued member of the team.

Having been raised by a dentist, Sofia had the opportunity to assist dental care prior to her work here and may be seen doing the same today. She has also finished film studies and has previously worked as a makeup artist in her home country. She is passionate about patient care and making treatment plans more accessible for our patients.

Outside of the clinic, Sofia enjoys travelling and staying active and regularly hits the gym in her spare time, trying to maintain as healthy and balanced lifestyle as possible, with a chocolate on the side!

Dani

Coming all the way from New Zealand, Dani has been with Portobello Dental since 2023. She has previously worked in many areas of healthcare including working the front desk at an urgent care clinic and lifeguarding at pool and beach.

Dani enjoys being able to help people and strives to make each and every patients time in the clinic as enjoyable and stress-free as possible.

While she has only been in Ireland a year she has found the Irish to be very similar to the kiwis and feels lucky to be in a place much like home.

(She also won’t get too offended if you accidentally call her and Aussie!)
