COVID-19 Protection |
At Portobello Dental Clinic, we take everyone’s health very seriously and a large part of our everyday work involves ongoing infection prevention and control measures to keep everyone as safe as possible.
We reacted rapidly to the evolving Covid-19 situation in Ireland, ceasing all non-urgent dental treatment since March 16th, almost 2 weeks before the Government put the current restrictions in place. While we have temporarily suspended non-urgent treatments, we have not been idle. Apart from seeing emergencies every day and helping with your dental queries, we have been working hard to source high level personal protective equipment (PPE) such as surgical-grade gowns and anti-viral respirator masks. We have also invested in anti-viral clean air technology and additional cross infection control protocols which exceed the current HSE and Dental Council guidelines. As you can imagine, such equipment is in extremely high demand globally but we have worked hard to source the best options for our staff, ourselves, and most importantly for you, our patients. We are monitoring this ever-changing situation very carefully, and will continue to adopt any advice or protocols as recommended by our governing bodies, both national and international. When Government restrictions on all routine health care are lifted, we at Portobello Dental Clinic aim to be able to once again offer you and your family the full range of dental treatments in the safest possible environment. Emergencies In the meantime, we are running an emergency service for our patients. We have put processes in place to ensure that we are compliant with social distancing and all HSE recommendations, while providing this service. If you are unable to leave your home, we have a blog with advice on dealing with dental emergencies which can be accessed here. You can contact us on (01) 454 2022 or email info@portobellodental.com where we will triage your problem to best determine how to proceed. Please don’t be surprised when the team ask you questions about your general well-being, recent travels and possible exposure to COVID-19. So for now, stay home if possible, stay safe and we look forward to welcoming you back to the clinic very soon. Regards, Portobello Dental Clinic Team |
